Environmental Audit – Clean Up Plan Verification, Industrial Facility Laverton, Victoria

This is an industrial site of 0.7 Ha used for the break-up and recycling of lead acid batteries. Craig Barker conducted the overview and formal verification to EPA of a Clean-up Plan (CUP) to address identified soil and groundwater contamination. This CUP was prepared in response to an EPA Clean Up Notice. Key contaminants included: lead, copper and manganese. Groundwater impact from dissolved metals was within a basalt regional aquifer with complicated hydrogeology.
